Lecture Series Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection

From 10 April to 29 May 2010

On 10 April the Museum is starting a new lecture series that focuses on the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection. The lectures will be given by curators at the Museum, who will discuss some of the highlights of this collection. Ranging from Vanvitelli’s Piazza Navona (1699) through works by Constable, Monet and Gauguin, and concluding with Picasso’s The Reapers of 1907, the series will offer a fascinating survey of the evolution of landscape in western painting. The lectures take place on Saturdays in April and May at 12.30pm in the Museum’s Auditorium.
