Don Quixote Tour for Books Day

From 23 April 2010

For the second year running, the Museum is participating in Books Day and once again visitors will be offered the chance to take part in a special tour entitled The Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza as a Mirror of Don Quixote. This is an activity that aims to offer visitors and Friends of the Museum a recreation of the adventures of Don Quixote and Sancho Panzo. The idea of the tour is not to point out direct connections between Cervantes’ novel and the selected paintings, but rather to stimulate the imagination and offer a new perspective on the work by suggesting thought-provoking connections between painting and literature.

These guided tours are offered throughout the day in small groups. They start in the Museum’s entrance hall at the stated times. Purchase of an entry ticket to the Museum enables all interested visitors to take part.

Times: 11am/12 noon/1pm/4pm/5pm/6pm
Maximum 20 people per group
