Film Cycle Monet and Abstraction

From 16 to 30 May 2010

In conjunction with Monet and Abstraction, the Museum has organised a film cycle that includes a number of outstanding titles related to the subject of the exhibition. They include Partie de champagne (1936) by Jean Renoir and Pollock (2000), directed by and starring Ed Harris. The cycle also includes recent films on Monet, including Monet, Light and Shadow (1999) by David Devine, and two cartoons aimed at young children: Linnea in Monet’s Garden and In the deep Midwinter. The films will be shown in original version, subtitled, on Sunday 16, 23 and 30 May at 7.30pm in the Museum’s Auditorium. Free entry until all seats filled.
