New Display of the Collections
From 26 February to 10 June 2013
From 18 May 2010
On 18 May the Museum will be taking part in the celebration of International Museums Day. Throughout the day visitors can see the exhibition Monet and Abstraction, the Permanent Collection and the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection free of charge. In addition, from 4pm onwards, the Museum is offering an activity that fits extremely well with the theme of this year’s event - Museums for Social Harmony - in which some of the groups that have taken part in Educathyssen’s Public Network programme will offer a personal interpretation of their selected painting in the Museum’s galleries. Among the volunteer guides giving the talks this year will be students from the University for Older Students, participants in the Museum’s programme Youthful Viewpoint, members of the special-needs public and others at risk of social exclusion (prisoners, women at risk, immigrants, the homeless etc).
