Material painting and assemblage

From 13 to 01 March 2011

The various materials of art and the wealth of possibilities arising from their combination provide the starting point for the next Friends’ Workshop, which will take place from March to May. Material painting and assemblage is the title of this new edition in which participants will be able to work with paper, wood, plastic, cloth and metal, taking artists such as Jackson Pollock and Tàpies as reference points and experimenting with the tactile sensations, colour, form and volume that can be obtained with these materials. Led by the printmaker and sculptor Alejandro Fernández Arango and with a primarily hands-on focus, this workshop will comprise eight sessions that take place on Sundays from 11am to 2pm. Booking is open from 15 February and the course costs 200 Euros.
