Music for the Permanent Collection: Beethoven-Goya

From 13 March 2011

The connection between music and works of art becomes evident in this concert organised specially for Friends of the Museum and devoted to two masters of music and painting: Beethoven and Goya. El tío Paquete (ca.1819-1820), one of three works by Goya in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, and Beethoven’s last two piano sonatas, composed between 1820 and 1822 and performed by Silvia Torán, will bring to life the period in which these two great creative figures lived.
