Private Guided Tour exclusively for Friends of Jean-Léon Gérôme (1824-1904) and Heroines

From 20 to 21 March 2011

Following the recent inauguration of Jean-Léon Gérôme (1824-1904) and before the imminent opening of Heroines, the Museum has organised the programme of accompanying guided tours offered exclusively to Friends. The exhibition Jean-Léon Gérôme (1824-1904) has been jointly organised with the J. Paul Getty Museum and the Musée d’Orsay and is the first major survey devoted to this French painter and sculptor to be presented in Spain. Guided tours take place on Sunday 20 and Monday 21 March. The representation of women in art from the Renaissance to the present is the central theme of Heroines, an exhibition jointly organised with Fundación Caja Madrid. Tours for Friends take place on 27 and 28 March and 4 April. Booking for both tours opens on 2 March on the Museum’s website, www.museothyssen.org, and on tels: 91 127 82 22 and 902 760 511, from 9am to 8pm.
