Activities

Workshop-visits for families

From 01 to 28 September 2011

Booking opens in July for the workshop-visits that will take place between September and December 2011. This programme, which has previously been aimed at children aged between 6 and 12 accompanied by an adult, has now been expanded with a new activity for children aged between 3 and 5.

Inspector Thyssen is a new workshop-visit that aims to introduce pre-school-age children to the world of art through the Museum’s Permanent Collection. A game of observation and discovery places the children in the role of a police inspector in the galleries in order to solve the mystery of a missing painting. The visit ends with a visual art activity in the EducaThyssen space in which the young participants put their newly acquired knowledge into practice. In addition, children aged 6 to 12 can once again take part in their own workshop-visits, with eight different routes around the collection to choose from.

These weekend programmes teach children to look at paintings, while the accompanying adults become involved in a different type of activity. The result is always an enjoyable and interesting experience for adults and children alike.

Priority booking for Friends opens on 20 July and for the general public on 22 July.
