Concert: The play of time

From 01 to 25 September 2011.

Organised in conjunction with the Antonio López exhibition, The Play of Time is an audiovisual performance that establishes a link between painting, music and image in movement. It is, in other words, an event that is more than a concert and one that pays tribute to the artist and his work. The pianist Alexis Delgado will play Johann Sebastian Bach’s French Suites as well as various works specially composed for the occasion by Juan Manuel Artero. There will be a simultaneous projection of previously unseen footage of Antonio López at work in his studio, bronze foundry and workshop, filmed by the director Luis Mengs. An exclusive performance for Friends of the Museum will take place on 11 September at 8pm with two more for the general public on 18 and 25 September, also at 8pm.
