Paris, London, Berlin and New York, four great capitals in the modern era, are the focus of a lecture series given by Guillermo Solana on important works in the Permanent and Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collections. In conjunction with the exhibition Architectural Paintings. Renaissance to Eighteenth Century, which can be seen this autumn at the Museum and at the exhibition space of Fundación Caja Madrid, the Museum’s Artistic Director has selected five paintings that represent the image of the modern city through the eyes of great artists such as Camille Pissarro, André Derain, Piet Mondrian, George Grosz and Georgia O’Keeffe. Tickets for the the lecture series are available from 20 October and can be booked by phone calling 34.902 760 511 or online clicking in the following link.
