<exchanging gazes> 6: Reflections. From Van Eyck to Magritte
New Display of the Collections
From 10 June to 15 September 2013
Saturday 7 and 14 July 2012, 6pm to 10pm
On Saturday 7 and 14 July, Friends of the Museum will have the chance to take part in an edition of the Drawing the Museum workshop led by Jorge Arranz. On this occasion participants will be aiming to capture in their notebooks and tablets the paintings in the current temporary exhibition devoted to the US painter Edward Hopper, whose oeuvre certainly awakens the senses. Hopper’s work ranges from Paris to the US, from etchings to oil paintings, from a figurative vision to a poetic aesthetic, and from light to shade, all of which will be used in this workshop to stimulate the participants’ ability to look, which is more than just seeing, before encouraging them to move from looking to contemplation, which is the moment of emotion. Enrolment from 25 June online in the link below, on the Friends’ phone line, 911 278 222 or on 902 760 511, from 9am to 8pm. Enrolment fro Friends of the Museum
