17 September 2012
On the 17 September 2012 the museum is inviting all its Friends to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Throughout the entire day Friends will be able to enjoy a wide range of activities. You can choose from tours of the permanent collection with explanations of its origins and history (10.00-19.30); summaries of the most important works in the collection held in the actual galleries and led by a team of the museum’s volunteers (10.00-14.00); and various themed treasure hunts (10.00-18.00). To round off the evening Guillermo Solana, Artistic Director of the museum, will be giving a lecture on the collecting habits of the Thyssen-Bornemisza family (19.30). To show our appreciation to the Friends of the museum we shall also be handing out a number of prizes. Reservations can be made from the 11 September 2012 for places on a tour of the permanent collection or for the lecture. To do so, please click the link below or call us on +34 91 127 82 22.
