Friends’ day

17 September 2012

On the 17 September 2012 the museum is inviting all its Friends to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Throughout the entire day Friends will be able to enjoy a wide range of activities.
You can choose from tours of the permanent collection with explanations of its origins and history (10.00-19.30); summaries of the most important works in the collection held in the actual galleries and led by a team of the museum’s volunteers (10.00-14.00); and various themed treasure hunts (10.00-18.00). To round off the evening Guillermo Solana, Artistic Director of the museum, will be giving a lecture on the collecting habits of the Thyssen-Bornemisza family (19.30). To show our appreciation to the Friends of the museum we shall also be handing out a number of prizes.
