Travelling with the Painting: French Polynesia

In 2012, alongo with the celebration of its 20th Anniversary, the Museum offered Friends the chance to take part in a very special trip within its programme Travelling with the Painting. On this occasion it was in fact a trip to the setting of the painting as the destination is French Polynesia, coinciding with the Museum’s major exhibition Gauguin and the Voyage to the Exotic. Friends were able to see the places that Gauguin depicted in his works of this period, as the photo set and video of the links below show.
