The influence on 19th- and 20th-century artists of the exotic and of travels to unknown lands are the focus of this monographic course organised in conjunction with a temporary exhibition presented at the Museum, in this case Gauguin and the Voyage to the Exotic. Journey of the Savage is the title chosen for this course, led by Professor Francisco Calvo Serraller and benefits from the participation of art historians, museum curators and anthropologists.
