The Museum’s Department of Modern Painting is organising a new series of lectures this autumn to coincide with the exhibition Gauguin and the Voyage to the Exotic, which opens on 9 October. Entitled Visions of Paradise and led by the journalist Juby Bustamante, it will benefit from the participation of writers Javier Reverte, Félix de Azúa, Maruja Torres, Luis García Montero and Juan Goytisolo. The first lecture will be given by the Museum’s Artistic Director Guillermo Solana on 20 October, to be followed by lectures given by the above-mentioned writers who will discuss their travels, experiences and ideas on the exotic.
Lectures take place on Saturdays at 12 noon in the Museum’s Auditorium. Free entry with a previously collected invitation.
