Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection on deposit at Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza

October sees the return of In the Gallery. Selected works, an educational programme that continues until June next year and which focuses visitors’ attention on a different work from the Museum’s collections every month. This year, and to coincide with the Thyssen’s 20^th Anniversary celebrations, the selection of works is oriented towards the origins of the Collection or the criteria used for their acquisition, among other issues. It will look at paintings and sculptures by artists including August Rodin, Emil Nolde, Joaquín Torres García, Willem de Kooning and Lucas Cranach the Elder. Talks are given in the gallery in front of the work by members of the Museum’s Volunteer group. Talks take place on Thursdays at 12 noon and 5pm, and on Saturdays at 12 noon. This activity is included in the price of an entrance ticket to the Museum. Maximum 20 people per group.
