New routes for the Family Workshop Visits

New routes for the Family Workshop Visits

January to March 2013. Booking now open

Starting this January, the family workshop-visits programme will be offering two new routes: The Mystery of the Hidden Children for children aged 3 to 5, and Who is who?for those aged 6 to 12, in both cases with an obligatory accompanying adult. In the first activity children and adults will solve a new Inspector Thyssen case from clues to be found in their favourite paintings. They will then have the chance to give free play to colours and shapes in a visual activity in the studio. Who is who? is one of the four routes that were first offered when the family workshop-visits programme was introduced. It now returns in a redesigned version in which participants use the Collection’s paintings to discover how artists have interpreted the human form over the centuries. It is followed up by an activity in the studio that focuses on exploring new materials. Booking opens on 3 December for weekends in the first four months of 2013, on links below or on tel: 902 760 511. Booking for Friends of the workshop visits
