This new activity within the programme “In-depth: in front of the works” will aim to analyse the evolution of Cubist painting, its origins and the key and revolutionary role that it played within 20th-century art through the important collection of works by the early avant-garde movements in the Museum’s permanent collection. Once again the course will consist of four sessions: the opening lecture, two sessions in the gallery (all given by Valeriano Bozal, senior professor of art history and director of this course), and a concluding colloquium that will benefit from the participation of Dolores Jiménez-Blanco, professor of art history at the Universidad Complutense, Madrid. Preferential enrolment for students and Friends of the Museum opens on 10 December, and on 17 December for the general public. Booking can be made on the Museum’s website on the following channels: Enrolment for students and general public Enrolment for Museum Friends
