During the closing days of the exhibition <Exchanging Gazes> 4: Freud / Watteau, the Museum is offering a concert exclusively for Friends. It will include a selection of works that illustrate the relationship between music and theatre in 17th- and 18th-century France: Marin Marais’ French Dances, Michel Corrette’s lighthearted Concerts comiques, a work by François Couperin, principal harpsichordist at Versailles, and two compositions in the style gallant by Georg Philipp Telemann and Louis-Gabriel Guillemain. They will be performed by the Artaria Ensemble. The concert takes place on 3 February.
