A new course will be held within the Art Routes programme, exclusively organised for Museum Friends. The second part of the course of the same name held in 2011, it will once again be led by the art historian María José Mateos. Music in the Collection II will offer a survey of the development of music and painting from the mid-19th- century to the mid-20th- century through the various movements that are common to both disciplines: Romanticism, Impressionism, the avant-garde revolution of the early 20th- century, the rise of new media (radio and records) and the influence of abstraction on classical music in the 1950s. Enrolment opens on 22 January online clicking in the link below or by calling the Friend’s telephone line on 91 127 82 22 or 902 76 05 11. Enrolment
