The museum joins the Munch Year celebrations

New installation in Room 35

This year is the 150^th anniversary of the birth of Edvard Munch (1863-1944). Numerous cultural events are being organised around the world to mark the event, with the global title of Munch 150. The Museum, which is the only Spanish public collection to possess works by Munch, is taking part with a special installation in Room 35 (first floor) of its four paintings by the artist. This small homage will remain on display until May. After that, Dusk (1888) will travel to Oslo for inclusion in the major retrospective of 250 masterpieces by the artist (2 June to 13 October). Many of these works will also be seen in the exhibition that the Museo Thyssen is preparing on the artist for the autumn of 2015.
