To coincide with the opening of our exhibition Surrealism and the Dream, the museum is organising an international conference to analyse the way in which Surrealist artists approached the world of dreams, an element they considered to be central to life. We also explore their role in and influence on today’s culture. Leading specialists will take part in the conference such as the curator of the exhibition, José Jiménez, Professor of Aesthetics and the Theory of Art of the Universidad Autónoma. Georges Sebbag, Doctor of Philosophy and Surrealist Historian and Rosa María Malet, Director of the Fundación Joan Miró as well as other academics from the universities of Essex, Seville, Sarragossa, the Complutense in Madrid, Oporto, La Laguna, Manchester and Marseille-Méditerrannée will also be present. Enrolment is now closed.
