In October, Friends of the Museum will have the chance to enjoy their exclusive private tour of our temporary exhibition. On this occasion the selection of art on display in Surrealism and the Dream explores the relationship between dreams and the images of the Surrealist movement. Paintings, drawings, collages, sculptures and photographs by artists including André Bretón, Salvador Dali, Paul Delvaux, Yves Tanguy and Renee Magritte help bring us closer to understand this interesting relationship. Surrealism was not just another art movement, but it was an attitude towards life that left its distinctive mark on all the art that came after it. This exhibition shows for the very first time how this mark, this transformation of contemporary sensibility, has its deepest roots in the surrealist relationship between the dream and the image.

Friends can reserve their place on the tour from Wednesday 9th October onwards. This can be done via the museum website or by calling 0034 91 127 82 22 or 0034 902 760 511.
