In conjunction with the temporary exhibition Surrealism and the Dream, the Museum is organising a monographic course led by José Jiménez, the exhibition’s curator, in which experts and university professors will analyse Surrealism not just as an artistic movement but also as an attitude to life. Over the course of eight weeks, the lecturers will also link this movement to photography, film and philosophy and will offer in-depth analyses of the figure of Dalí, one of the great Surrealist artists, and of the role of women in the movement, among other issues.
Lectures take place on Wednesdays at 5.30pm in the Auditorium. Enrolment opens on 1 October for students and Friends of the Museum and on 14 October for the general public.
