In May, the Museum is offering Friends a new reading workshop that follows on from the subject of American Realism in the previous one and focuses on the relationship between two paintings, Lindner’s Moon over Alabama and Richard Estes’s Hyperrealist Telephone Booths, and the literary work of Raymond Carver, master of the modern short story. The reading of Carver’s texts will be complemented by further reading of other writers such as Tobias Wolff and Richard Ford.
