14 to 18 July 2014
In collaboration with two Spanish universities, Educathyssen is organising two summer courses for university students and the general public.
The Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and the Museo Thyssen are holding Education in Museums: the digital commitment.
For five days participants will gain a more digital and didactic vision of museums, focusing on concepts such as narrative strategies and the role of the educator, combining theoretical and practical elements.
Students who complete the course will receive a diploma plus two free choice or ECTS academic credits.
The course runs from Monday 14 to Friday 18 July and takes place on the University’s Vicálvaro campus.
In addition, the UNED and the Museum are presenting Figuration and the avant-garde in 20th-century art, a course in which students will analyse avant-garde movements via the two key concepts of abstraction and figuration through painters and movements such as Picasso, the School of London and the Cubists, among others.
UNED students can apply for funding.
The course will take place at the Museum between Wednesday 16 and Friday 18 July.
