With the emergence of Pop Art in the late 1950s, one of the most liberating movements in art was born. Its affiliation with the new era of technology and mass consumption brought to an end the separation between high and popular culture and launched a new debate on the relationship between the aesthetic and the anti-aesthetic that has continued to the present day.
In conjunction with the exhibition Pop Art Myths the Museum has organised three Pop Study Days in July in which specialists in different areas will introduce participants to the latest research on this movement.
Enrolment opens on 23 June.
Prices: 30€ (students), 50€ (Friends of the Museum), 60€ (general public)
