Within the Summer Courses’ of UNED university, the Museum’s Education Department has organised this one titles The Rediscovery of Landscape: a route around Modern Landscape in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection. The course focuses on the evolution of this pictorial genre through works in the Museum. It will combine sessions with members of the teaching staff of the UNED (with whom the course is organised), the Universidad Pompeu Fabra and the Thyssen Museum, and practical classes in the Museum’s galleries. In the lecture titled In the light of the electric moon: the urban North American landscape given by Amparo Serrano de Haro Soriano, Art History Associate Professor from the UNED, shares her perspectives on the theme with us.
