This video presents the ideas and opinions of visitors to the exhibition, which has a thematic and chronological structure that runs parallel to the artist’s career. In each gallery Berthe Morisot’s paintings establish a dialogue with works by artists who played important roles in her life, including Corot, Boudin, Manet, Degas, Renoir, Monet and Pissarro. Through a major loan agreement, the exhibition includes more than 30 works from the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris, and one from the Fondation Pierre Gianadda in Martigny (Switzerland). Among works from the Thyssen collections is The Psyche Mirror, which was one of the canvases that Morisot exhibited in the Third Impressionist Exhibition of 1877 and which inspired the organisation of the present exhibition.
