Museums are the stars of our May activities. Museums Night will be held on Saturday 17 May and is a European-wide initiative that brings museums closer to the public in an enjoyable and relaxed way. With this aim in mind, the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza will be opening two of its exhibitions from 7pm to 1am free of charge: Modigliani and his Times and Otto Dix: Portrait of Hugo Erfurth. Techniques and Secrets. In addition, the Ground Floor, with the galleries of early avant-garde and other 20th-century paintings, will also be opening during the same hours.

In addition, on Sunday 18 May the Museum will hold an Open Doors Day to mark International Museums Day. Coinciding with the last day of the two exhibitions mentioned above, these will be free of charge, as will the Permanent Collection and the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection. Normal opening hours: 10am to 7pm.
