A new activity organised for Friends of the Museum will be introduced in January, comprising a workshop based around the temporary exhibition  Modern Masters of Drawing. Participants will experiment with the various techniques and materials used by artists represented in the exhibition, who include some of the leading name of 19th -and 20th - century art. The works on display will be used to analyse how drawing freed itself from academic tradition in the mid 19th century and became a medium of expression for artists. The workshop will aim to obtain the maximum level of expressivity through the use of visual elements.

Enrolment takes place from 8 January and the course, which is led by the artist and printmaker Alejandro Fernández-Arango, starts on 13 January.
