During the summers Kirchner and the other members of his group dedicated themselves to painting in the open air, seeking in secluded places in the city sources of inspiration in primitive things and in original nature. Here we can identify some naked women that are raising their arms in ecstasy in a landscape bursting with colour and light. A powerful decorative rhythm runs through the work, through the contrast of curved and broken lines and leads us to participate in this hymn to dance, to free life, through the intensity of colour.
