A few months later Moholy-Nagy painted this work marked by the sobriety of the colour and composition: the interplay of the vertical on the horizontal and the semicircles. The disappearance of all reference to reality and the simplification of the lexis tell us of the artist's evolution towards a pure abstraction marked by rigour.
