This work is a paradigm of the Futurist principles and, at the same time, the synthesis of multiple influences of the avant-garde movements. In it Severini shows us the cult to dynamism, which is understood here as light energy which spreads out in space, as well as the Futurist passion for noctambulism, through the dance and the representation of jovial things. To all this is added the Pointillist brushstroke and a clear tendency to abstraction because of the influence of Cubism and Orphism.
