This little triptych, probably meant for a private chapel, represents in the central panel the Turin shroud which is based on the Bizantine icons of the Pantocrator. On the side panels appear, when open, two angel musicians, and, when closed, an Annunciation. The work is outstanding for the finished drawing and the primitivism characteristic of the period, but it has great strength because of the visual impact that the image of Christ implies.
