The eclecticism displayed by the so-called Master of Saint Lucia can be verified irrefutably in this triptych: in the broad landscape we can see the influence of Van Eyck; in the figure of the dead Christ we can identify that painted by Roger Van der Weyden (today in the royal chapel in Granada); and the other personages in the central panel are inspired by Deposition by Dieric Bouts (Louvre Museum). T
he most characteristic and personal features are offered by these two side panels which, when opened, present the couple formed by Donas de Moor and Adriana de Vos, accompanied by their patron saints. When closed, they offer us some interesting grisailles of Saint Peter and Saint Barbara, placed like sculptures in their respective niches.
