Participating in the events organised to mark the centenary of the Bauhaus, the museum is organising a small exhibition featuring works from its permanent collection by artists historically associated with that institution. It will pay particular attention to works created during the period when the Bauhaus was active (1919 to 1933), some of them included in the exhibitions organised by the school.
Curated by the museum’s curatorial team, this project will be accompanied by a short explanatory catalogue. In addition, with the collaboration of the German Embassy, educaTHYSSEN developed Vorkurs, an educational programme inspired by Bauhaus admission course designed by artist Johannes Itten, a core member of the famous school during the foundational period.
