Tickets for the Museum

Advance purchase allows you to ensure availability. You can do so by internet, at the Museum’s ticket desks or on the phone.

In order to limit visitor numbers and to ensure that you see the works in comfort, there is 15 minute timed entry slots to the Hyperrealism. 1967-2012 exhibition. Please remember that the last entry slot is at 18.00, or 20.00 on Saturdays (subject to ticket availability).

a) Online ticket sales

General, reduced and free tickets for the Permanent Collections and temporary exhibitions can be booked in advance over the Internet.

b) Ticket Office sales

Tickets can be bought from the Museum ticket office, from Tuesday to Sunday, between 10:00 and 18:30. On Saturdays the ticket office will be open from 10:00 until 20.30 .

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the ticket office.

c) Telephone ticket sales

General, reduced and free tickets can be purchased in advance on telephone (+34) 902 76 05 11 from Monday to Sunday between 9.00 and 20.00.

Free:

Children under twelve years of age accompanied by adults.
Citizens who are officially unemployed.
Free entry to the Permanent Collections on Mondays between 12.00 and 16.00 thanks to sponsorship by MasterCard.

Individual reduced and free tickets purchased on-line must be collected in the Museum ticket-office set up for this purpose, the same day of the visit. Status proof must be accredited with valid documentation required in each case (check the requirements for reduced and free tickets). Please take into account this step in order to arrive with time enough at the access control when your visit is booked.

Paseo del Arte Card
This card allows individual access to the Prado National Museum, the Reina Sofia National Museum and Arts Centre and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. You may purchase the membership card at the ticket offices of any of the three museums. It is valid for one visit to each museum. It does not include access to the temporary exhibitions at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum.

Madrid Card
Includes the visit to the Museum Permanent Collections with priority Access. You may purchase the card at the Museum ticket offices as well as at other points of sale.
