Through our guided tours on weekends and public holidays you can learn in detail about the life and work of the artists, their influences and motivations, and why they became icons of art.

The Museo Thyssen is presenting an exhibition that brings together fifty masterpieces by Pablo Picasso and Paul Klee which belonged to the German art dealer and collector Heinz Berggruen. 

On Saturdays and Sundays from October to January, the museum is offering guided tours of Warhol, Pollock and other American Spaces, an exhibition that brings together the work of these two key figures in 20^thcentury art.

The last session of the year in the programme Focus on the work is devoted to Rogier van der Weyden, one of the most important Flemish artists of the 15 ^th century together with Jan van Eyck.

A themed tour of the galleries aimed at families with children aged 7 to 12, in which they will take a trip through the paintings in order to discover various cities around the world and learn about a range of themes relating to the depiction of the city and travel in art.

On this occasion, Dr Porta-Etessam, president of the Spanish Society of Neurology, is leading a tour of the exhibition Warhol, Pollock and other American spaces in which she connects some of the works and artists featured in it with neurology, drawing on references such as Frankl and Kahneman.

The museum organizes a series of conversations to pay tribute to the collectors who ensure the continuing renewal of contemporary art and its system. 

The fourth edition of Vision and Presence features ten performative actions over the course of the year which have been expressly created to be seen in the museum.

In the context of Listening All Night to the Rain by John Akomfrah, Vir Andres Hera presents a nocturnal performance that interweaves oceanic sounds, seismic vibrations, voices, and sound loops to weave a polyphonic narrative where fragmented bodies attempt to reconstitute themselves.

Listening All Night to the Marassa is a dance activation of John Akomfrah’s exhibition Listening All Night to the Rain. 

The Short break travel series exclusively offered to Friends reaches its fourteenth edition, with the chance to discover various cultural centres in the city of Valencia.

Japan is the destination for the next organised trip for Friends of the Museum. Lasting ten days, it starts in Tokyo and its most iconic districts such as Ginza, Shibuya and Shinjuku.

What do we feel when we look at a work of art? Although the experience of art is deeply subjective, our reactions can be measured and analysed. Discover this research project that unites art, technology and health.

With this virtual guided tour you can travel through seven centuries of art history through fifteen masterpieces and delve deeper into our collection. Narrated by our curators, discover the little stories hidden in the paintings at any time and pause the guided tour whenever you want.

Art and wine go hand in hand in a unique experience that joins the Thyssen with the symbolic Mercado de San Miguel. An interesting way to explore gastronomic culture and art.

Friends will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition with a guest on the day before it opens to the public and can also join the in-person or online guided tours offered with a range of dates and times while the exhibition is on display.
