The museum is offering visitors the chance to discover Dalí’s Freudian Universe with guided tours on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during normal opening hours. Curated by Jaime Brihuega, it presents a new perspective on the diverse and prolific work of the Catalan artist Salvador Dalí. His fascination with the writings of Sigmund Freud and their celebrated meeting in 1938 provide the starting point for the exhibition’s argument.
Dalí’s Freudian Universe is organised into six sections, arranged chronologically and linked to key chapters in the artist’s life and career. These sections are completed with paintings and drawings by artists such as Jean Arp, Sigmund Freud, Max Ernst, Jean-François Millet, Pablo Picasso, Santiago Ramón y Cajal, Julio Romero de Torres, Gino Severini and Yves Tanguy, among others.
The activity is intended for the general public aged 12 and above.
