The Museum was holding two jazz concerts in March of 2011 that was part of the programme of the Women Creators Festival and are also associated with the temporary exhibition Heroines. On Monday 14 March the Norwegian singer Sidsel Endresen, who has been described as a Scandinavian version of Patti Smith, performed a selection of her songs. On March 22 Marilyn Mazur, who has been one of the classic names in jazz percussion over the last thirty years and who performed with Miles Davis in the 1980s, presented her percussion, sax, guitar and double-bass quartet.
