The Malaga-born guitarist Daniel Casares was awarded the prestigious Bordón Minero de La Unión prize at the age of just sixteen, becoming the youngest to receive it, also receiving the National Guitar Prize of Jaén, which allowed him to record his first album at the age of nineteen.
With an outstanding international career, he has collaborated with artists such as Alejandro Sanz, Miguel Poveda, José Mercé and Pasión Vega and has presented projects such as Alexandra's Moon with the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra and PICASSARES, a tribute to Picasso. Daniel Casares’s style fuses flamenco tradition with influences from classical music, pop and R&B, making him as one of the leading figures of contemporary flamenco guitar.
