Within the context of International Museum Day, the museum is offering guided tours of Gaza, where life endures, an exhibition organised in conjunction with UNRWA Spain, the United Nations Agency for the Palestinian refugee population.
The exhibition offers a reflection on the current situation in Gaza through the faces and life stories of its survivors. Each portrait is an invitation to confront the reality of those who live, resist and persevere in the Strip: men, women, boys and girls whose lives have been marked by violence, displacement, loss and uncertainty, but also by dignity, resilience and the ability to continue with their lives even in the most extreme conditions.
Within this situation, UNRWA plays an essential role as the main humanitarian organisation in Gaza, guaranteeing fundamental services in areas such as health, education and social assistance to hundreds of thousands of people.
Amelia Cerdán and Elena Jiménez, both of whom work for UNWARY Spain, will be leading the tours of the exhibition, sharing information about the agency’s work and the story behind each image.
