A renowned flamenco dancer and journalist, Cynthia Cano is recognised for her expressive power and her ability to fuse tradition with new performance languages. A child prodigy, she won the national Veo Veo competition at the age of eight and has represented her region and Spain with her art in various countries in Latin America, the United States, Europe and Africa from a very young age. She was a principal dancer with the Ballet Flamenco Lo Ferro, where she is currently co-director.

In 2011 she graduated with Honours from the Professional Dance Conservatory of Murcia. Cano has honed her craft and participated in productions with masters such as El Güito, Javier Latorre and Joaquín Grilo, as well as with the Carlos Rodríguez Company since 2022.

In recent years Cano has been a regular performer at the leading flamenco venues in Spain. She also has more than a dozen of her own productions, notably III en mi colmao, De Alfa a Omega, Bailaora de Postín o Locas Mujeres, premiered at the Jerez Festival in 2024.
