Trained from the age of six at dance academies and at the Escuela Jerezana de Danza Lucía under the direction of Antonio El Pipa, Ofelia Márquez has developed her career as a flamenco dancer with international companies and on international stages. Her style is characterised by expressive power, stage presence and respect for flamenco tradition.
Following her debut in 2015 with Antonio El Pipa's company, she has worked with leading figures in flamenco and toured Morocco, China and throughout Spain, accompanying artists such as Ricardo Fernández del Moral. In 2025 she was one of the artists headlining the permanent flamenco programme at the Spanish Pavilion at Expo Osaka.
Márquez currently directs and stars in her own show, El Compás del Tiempo, a personal project that reflects her artistic maturity and vision of flamenco and she is currently touring flamenco clubs and theatres with this production. At the same time, she is the principal dancer in a show of copla and sevillanas in which her unique style and stage presence elevate each performance, establishing a direct connection with the audience.
