The Museum was starting a new lecture series that focuses on the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection. The lectures will be given by curators at the Museum, who will discuss some of the highlights of this collection. Ranging from Vanvitelli’s Piazza Navona (1699) through works by Constable, Monet and Gauguin, and concluding with Picasso’s The Reapers of 1907, the series will offer a fascinating survey of the evolution of landscape in western painting.
