Mental health. Aura: neurology on Canvas x Dr Marta Oses

Dr Marta Oses from the Spanish Society of Neurology will lead Young Friends on a tour of the permanent collection in which she analyses how some symptoms experienced by the brain during altered mental states have been represented in painting. 

Dr Oses will analyse cases such as that of Kandinsky, who "heard" colours and "saw" sounds, an example of how certain neurological manifestations can acquire an almost artistic dimension. 

At the end of the tour, which is part of LabThyssen’s programme of activities, have the chance to share their impressions with the specialist in the private room of the museum’s cafeteria.
