In conjunction with International Museums Day and Night, which takes place on 18 and 19 May, both the Permanent Collection and the exhibition Sorolla and Fashion will be free during the normal opening hours, 10.00 to 19.00 on Friday 18 and from 19.00 to 1.00 on Saturday 19.
In addition, from 18 to 20 May visitors can enjoy a virtual reality experience, entering inside various paintings and moving through a three-dimensional space. Using virtual reality glasses, participants can walk through the meadows of Auvers painted by Van Gogh, along the streets of New York which inspired Mondrian and lose themselves among the flowers and insects of a Dutch still life. This activity benefits from sponsorship by Endesa and the collaboration of HP and IED.
