In early June, Friends of the Museum can enjoy a private, guided tour that focuses on the history of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection from the time of its first presentation to the public in Munich in 1930 to its permanent installation in Madrid in 1992, of which the 25 th Anniversary is being celebrated this year.

As an originally private collection, the Thyssen Collection is recognised as one of the most important in the world, both in terms of quality and number of works. Discovering more about its origins reveals both the enterprising approach of a family which assembled this impressive artistic legacy in just two generations and their desire to share it with the public on a permanent basis.

Booking opens on 16 May online and on tel: 917 911 370.
