Opening at the Museum on 15 November was a retrospective survey of the work of the Impressionist painter Berthe Morisot, which had been made possible through a special agreement with the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris. More than thirty paintings by the artist will be on display alongside a selection of works from the Museum’s own collection by the various painters who influenced her work. The exhibition revealed Morisot’s luminous, elegant style expressed in the form of landscapes, domestic scenes, urban views and portraits.
